Editor window
The Editor window is used to change tags of files batch in one action.
It the fields of the Editor window you can type values or patterns which will be used to change fields in tags of files. In a pattern you can use placeholders.
Editor window has three sections:
- Main
- Additional
- Web pages
In ID3v1 tag mode it has only Main section.
One field in the Editor window can be selected. This field is the current one.


You can change tags of all files in the Tags table or only of selected ones.
If there are selected files then only tags of selected files are changed. Otherwise tags of all files are changed – it is default behavior.
Every field in the Editor window can be in one of three states:
- It has a new value. This field will get a new value in all changing files.
- It has value <empty>. This field will be emptied in all changing files.
- It has value "<don’t change>". This field will not be changed in all changing files.
In the selected field you can see a Cross button or a Check button.
- To assign a new value to a field just type it in the field. To cancel it press Cross button or delete value manually.
- To assign an <empty> value to a field, empty the field (if it does not have value <don’t change>) and press Check button.
- If you changed a field and you want return its state to <don’t change> press Cross button.
You can use Clean button to return the Editor window to its initial state.
Use Fill button to copy all non-empty values of the current tag to the Editor fields.
Press Apply button to make changes in the files.
You can always undo this action.

You can select a field also by left click on a label of a field.
Field Editing
There are few ways to start editing content of a field:
- Left click on a field.
- Press Enter. It starts editing of the selected field. If editing was already started it stops editing.
- Press Tab. It starts editing of the selected field. If editing was already started it stops editing and moves to the next field.
If you want to finish editing press Enter to save changes or Esc to discard them.
